Privacy policy

Last updated May 20, 2026 (version 1.0). This policy explains what we collect, how long we keep your files, and your choices.

1. Who we are

Martsyl Tech Hub LTD (BotMart) provides online tools to compress video, convert video to MP4, and compress PDF files. This policy describes how we handle personal data when you use our website and services.

2. What we collect

Account information

When you sign in, our authentication partner (Clerk) processes your email address and basic profile data needed to secure your account. We do not store passwords ourselves.

Files you upload

Videos and PDFs you submit for processing. We use these only to run compression or conversion and to let you download the result.

Usage and job data

We keep records of encode jobs (status, file sizes, presets, timestamps) so you can view history in My jobs and so we can operate the service.

Payment information

If you purchase a PRO plan, payment is handled by Flutterwave. We receive confirmation of payment and subscription status, not your full card details.

Support and communications

If you email us or use live chat (when enabled), we receive the information you choose to send.

3. How we use your information

  • Provide compression, conversion, and download features
  • Enforce free and PRO limits and prevent abuse
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Respond to support requests
  • Send promotional emails only if you opt in to marketing
  • Improve reliability and security of the service

4. File retention — important

Uploaded videos and PDFs, and your processed output files, are automatically deleted within 24 hours after upload or after your job completes (whichever applies). Original uploads are typically removed sooner once processing succeeds. This limit is designed to protect your privacy and reduce storage risk.

Download anything you need to keep before that window ends. After deletion, files cannot be recovered from us.

5. Where data is processed

Data may be processed on secure infrastructure operated by our service providers (for example hosting, object storage, and encoding workers). We do not sell your personal data.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in and security. With your consent, we may enable optional functional cookies (such as a live chat widget) and marketing-related choices. See our Cookie policy for details. You can change preferences anytime via Cookie settings in the site footer.

7. Marketing

We only send promotional or product-update emails if you opt in through our cookie and preferences banner. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time via Cookie settings or by emailing us.

8. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where applicable, we rely on contract performance (providing the service), legitimate interests (security and abuse prevention), legal obligations, and consent (marketing and non-essential cookies).

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to data portability. You can delete your account from your profile settings (which removes associated app data). Contact us for other requests.

10. Children

BotMart is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the date and version above; we may ask you to accept the updated policy before continuing to use the service.
